"Seventh series — No. 1" from Bailey & Noyes, publishers of numerous children's toy- and chapbooks, this example featuring => a small wood engraving and couplet for each letter of the alphabet. The firm was listed in extant Portland, ME, directories between 1860 and 1875.

Not in Bloch, not in Osborne. Publisher's blue-green printed paper wrappers, sewn as issued, in excellent condition save for very slight fading at lower and outer edges. Pages clean and fresh. => Axe, Bat, and, Comb through Xerxes, Youth, and Zebra.  (41516)   Please RESHELVE This.
