Streeter, Victor L. Fluid dynamics. New York: McGraw-Hill Book Co., 1948. 8vo (23.5 cm, 9.25"). xi, 263, pp. $20.00
"This book is planned to introduce the reader to the general theory of fluid flow. It is concerned primarily with the development of the general fluid equations and their reduction to specific problems. The reader is presumed to have had no mathematics beyond the elementary differential and integral calculus. Since the general treatment requires more advanced mathematics, it has been developed in each case immediately before its use is introduced. The book should be useful as a text for a second course in fluid mechanics in the senior year of college or the first year of graduate work. In preparing the material every effort has been made to clarify the concepts and to include those exasperating steps in derivations which are usually omitted."
