Only edition of an important early and practical military manual that Lienhart Fronsperger felt merited inclusion in his Kriegssbuch (Franckfurt am Mayn, 1573). The threat to Germany from the aggressive advance of the Turkish empire was the precipitating cause for Busteter to compose his German-language treatise on the practical aspects of warfare: mustering, payments, siege, attack, defense, treason, logistics, diplomacy, and so on. The work is addressed to the authorities of Augsburg.
The text is in fraktur and the title-page is illustrated with => a large woodcut of four foot soldiers and a drummer in a forest.
